Water Diversion & Flood Barrier Walls (Mayim™ System)
The Mayim™ Flood Barrier is a fast, modular solution for defending properties against rising water. Whether for homes, commercial buildings, or infrastructure applications, Mayim offers a reliable line of defense using lightweight, interconnecting panels.
How the Mayim™ Flood Wall Works
- Water-Activated Stability
As floodwaters rise, the hydraulic pressure pushes the L-shaped panels downward and into the ground, securing them in place and bolstering the seal. - Integrated Foam Seals
Each panel includes foam sealing elements on the underside and sides to reduce leakage and maintain a tight barrier. - Panel Heights & Protection Levels
Standard barrier heights are 20″ (MB1) and 30″ (MB2). For higher flood protection, the Mayim MAX extension supports up to 40″ height.
Easy Deployment
- The Mayim™ system is built for speed and simplicity—no specialized tools or expertise are needed.
- Panels can be carried by hand, on dollies, or palletized for transport.
- The “tip, click & lock” connection method enables fast assembly: lean one panel, slot it into its neighbor, and snap them together.
- Typical deployment rates are about 3 panels per minute, so 100 ft of coverage can go up in roughly 15 minutes.
Versatility & Customization
- Adaptable footing: Gable ends or foam seals help the barrier conform against uneven surfaces like brick or block walls.
- Curves and corners: Use inward or outward curve panels (MB1-IC/OC, MB2-IC/OC) to negotiate turns or wrap around building corners.
- Perimeter and full protection: Combine straight and curved sections to create containment pools or shield full building perimeters.
Strengths & Advantages
- No extra tools needed — installation is straightforward and intuitive.
- Reusable — the barrier panels are built for repeated deployment.
- Compact storage — panels stack neatly when not in use.
- Built for durability — strong ABS construction with support ribs handles water pressure and stress.
- UV- & temperature-resilient — materials are UV protected and rated for use from –10 °F to 115 °F.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- Do I need tools or extra parts?
No. The Mayim system is designed to be installed by unskilled users, using its built-in interlocking system. - How high can this barrier go?
The standard panels handle 19″ (MB1) and 29″ (MB2) of flood height. The Mayim MAX upgrade reaches 40″. - Can I leave it deployed long-term?
While the barrier is UV resistant, it’s generally recommended to deploy when needed and disassemble after use. - How do I seal it against uneven walls?
Use gable end pieces with thick foam, or seal gaps with polyethylene sheeting and tape. - Can it go around corners?
Yes — panels allow small degrees of flex, and special inward/outward curved pieces handle sharper turns or full 90° angles. - Is it suitable for containment/pool use?
Yes — you can form temporary containment pools with modular panels. For chemical containment, pair with a liner. - How to clean and store after use?
Hose off debris, allow panels to dry fully, then stack and store. - Where do the products ship from?
Ships from the regional warehouse in Santa Fe Springs, CA.
